The style for this bathroom was inspired by Art Deco-era apartments with added Parisian flair. The custom-cut mirror for the medicine chest mimics the arch over the bathtub. The black & white accent scheme continues with a stamped fleur-de-lis border while the new pedestal sink sports a new faucet set elevated by antique puffy porcelain knobs. The unearthing of the original salmon-pink and jadeite green tile floor inspired our design for this Art Deco-styled tub surround that features custom Pratt & Larson tile. A beveled mirrored top replaced ‘80s era tile on the vanity and new jadeite knobs & pulls were added to the freshly painted cabinet in gloss black. Above, a crisp white silk top-down bottom-up Roman shade provides a custom cover for the window. The completed renovation balances fresh updates with sensitivity to the historic character of this sublimely charming bathroom.
